Not having much luck finding a 144x1.5 but have found several good 151's. Can a 151 be trailable. Want it for 50% trail %50 percent ditch and boondocking. Maxdlx

Well I have only logged a little over 400 miles of on trail riding (most riding I do now is off trail) on my 07' Attak that I just stretched to 151" but I found it to be completely trailable. I have a Challenger 2.25" finger track but I cut the lugs down to 2" total height. I used Muffinworks 6* tip up 7.5" extensions and Hartmans tunnel extension and bumper and Wahl 8 tooth extrovert drivers. I put my Mono on the 3rd clip position as i weigh around 245lbs. fully suited up and I couldn't be happier with this sled now. I have Pioneers hyfax extender wheel kit and have my limiter pulled up one hole and my hyfax is showing almost no wear without the benefit of scratchers. Here it is but excuse my messy garage

Rode with a guy from this site (Kmer but he isn't on here much anymore) that put a 1.25" ripsaw on his RX-1 Mountain. He didn't have any issues when riding the same trails as me.

Send a PM to yama-yooper in case he doesn't see this thread. He has that exact setup on his Warrior and loves it.

Seriously have you looked at the classified ads.

I have a 1 1/4" ripsaw on my sled and it's good for those straight line trails but once you start getting into the twisty trails a sled with a shorter track is going to leave you in the dust

yes I have looked at a ton of classifieds, not many 144x1.5's out there. Please show them to me
I did find a series IV polaris that I am considering cutting down to 1.5 or 1.75 or both

I run a 136 x 2 that I was going to cut down but never did. Traction sucks on trails, but it's great off trail. I run scratchers for icy conditions. I would be a bit worried with 151 if you are into jumping or such. A couple of tail landings or catwalks might do the rail extensions in.
My neighbor runs an 800R Summit with a 150 something and he has trashed his skid twice now. He's a young kid that stands all the time and drives with his skis in the air most of the time, so it's not surprising.

I sold my 03 RX-1 Mountain 2 years ago and it had over 31,000 miles. Put a 1.25 151 6 pitch track, flatlander gears and clutching and was the best sled I ever owned. Excellent all around machine!!! Hope this helps!!

I run a 151" 1.5 Camoplast Crossover track on my stretched Warrior, and I love it!!!
Works just fine on the trails without excessive hyfax wear. I go 2-3 winters between swapping them out (although I am a bit picky about the conditions I'll run in). I do not run any sort of scratchers.
I see you are from Iowa, so I would suggest that you invest in some sort of scratchers (no matter what size track you run).
Some people complain that the longer length is harder to corner with, but in my opinion, that only applies in extremely tight trail conditions. Most of the time it is not noticeable.
The longer length will give you a smoother ride, and the traction is incredible.
