Can anyone help?????

My gf's 96 Blaster is jumping out of gear when torqed hard. it does it alot in 1st, less in 2nd, and not really in any other gear. Whats wrong and how do i fix it? This is urgent, last time we went riding and it started doing it she complained til i ended up driving it home while she drove my Griz........Don't like that at all!

sounds like a bent/wornout shifter fork or bad detent springs. your gonna have to open it up and have a look at it.

I agree...it could also be a worn gear...open that bad boy up...

You might get lucky and find a slightly bent shifter shaft but I really think it has to be opened up.

Im with everyone else. Your gunna have to look inside. I have a clymer manual on ebay right now for $5 If you need it. You can build a machine from the ground up with one of those. They normally cost about $35

bid made on that, i think i'll wait and see if i get it before tearing in. what side should i start on?

its probably gonna be on shifter side as the clutch is on the other side.
