Having a hard time locating 0-30 syn engine oil. Should use 0-20 or 0-40 instead?

Doesn't the manual call for 0W40 Yamalube? I don't see any benefit in using a lighter oil. Especially when things heat up.
You know, the times where the coolant fan is running continuously due to that poor stretch of trail?
At 200 degrees, won't thinner weight oil wash out of the bearing quicker than the specified 0W40?
Since my season is so short, I'll stick with what the factory designed the engine to run on.

Side winder manual calls for 0w-30, so I would assume viper takes the same. If it does call for 30 get 30. Mike Knapp switched his apex over to 0w-40 a few years back. His buddies who he could beat before were now beating him. He switched back to 0w-30 and beat them again. I just bought a 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 0w-30 at WalmartDoesn't the manual call for 0W40 Yamalube? I don't see any benefit in using a lighter oil. Especially when things heat up.

Mobile One 0w-30 does not contain adequate amounts of zinc and phosphorus for these 4-stroke engines. The additives have been reduced for automotive use to protect catalytic converters. If you run Mobil One it should be the European blend 0w-40. For snowmobile use the Semi synthetic Yamalube is 0w-30 and their full synthetic is 0w-40.

There is a big difference between 0w30 and 0w40 additives.

Walmart doesn't carry that in stores and it's hard to find in any store but beyond it's availability have you every priced it?
