This is the last 3 photos. If anyone would like the full sized version let me know and I will email them to you. I sure do like the extra space you have with the trunk.

did you cut the tank cover?
Now all you need is a Pioneer wide kit to make it handle with the new higher center of gravity.
This looks like my project for next fall, I have the articulating riser and the wide kit.

Yes I did cut the cover. There is a pic of the piece I cut off in the post prior to this last one. I think it is the last post on page 2, there is 3 more pics of the project. It took all of 2 hours to do. The hardest part is removing the cover cause you have to take off the handlebars.number1kyster said:did you cut the tank cover?

Are the Nytro's any wider? I dont think so but yea it may be more of a hand full while turning. I will find out, and soon, I hope.RedRX1 said:Now all you need is a Pioneer wide kit to make it handle with the new higher center of gravity.

No reason this shouldn't work on an RX-1 too...
damn, u need to come pick up my wifes vector and make the switch for me, nice job

I did my 05 vector with this modification and you will have to change the plug for the tail lights on both ends to make the lights work. I put 700miles on this seat and is a nice upgrade.

Did you raise the bars also. I am thinking of doing this to my 05 also.

Yep, 4 Fighter did it to his RX1. His conversion made me do mine. Here is a link to it. http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=24666

I raised my bars about 1 1/2 inches. You almost have to raise the bars because they want to hit you in the legs when you turn without raising them.
Woodtic, I didnt have to make any changes to the pluges on my '06. They pluged in with no problem.
