can the new nytro seat fit an 05 vector

Apex seat will work also. I installed a 06 Apex RTX seat on my 05 Vector.

Off the tank shroud. Looks very factory and the seat tucks under nicely.

dimensionally the apex, attak, apex mtn and rs-nytro seats are the same. The difference is in the density of the foam. The apex mtn seat I had on my 05 vector was noticeably firmer than a plain apex seat. It was much more firm then the stock 05 seat. I suspect it is the same foam as used in the rs-nytro seat.

I finished this mod - it was a piece of cake - now have an extra RX1 seat for sale as well as an Apex seat that I bought in a package deal. Let me know if you're interested.
