Can't get headlight pod off

This is my first time inside my Apex, and I'm stuck at the headlight pod. The 10mm bolts on the side aren't in the picture as the mounting tabs are broken, but I stall cant get this thing off! I understand it should pull straight out and I see the 2 rectangular tabs that it slides onto, but I can't get it to do anything more than wiggle back and forth. Is it just that hard to pull straight out?

Take the whole assembly, bracket and all. 4 10 mm headed bolts secure the metal,headlight bracket. Deep well 1/4" drive socket and extension is what I use. Previous owner may have secured the pod and then installed bracket and pod.

That did it, thanks. Somebody had put a bar across under the headlight that was bolted to the bracket, and then screwed into the bottom of the headlight. I think I actually like the idea of taking those 4 bolts off and the whole dash, windshield, and gauge pod coming off. I'd rather deal with 4 metal to metal bolts than all those plastic moving plastic pieces around.

On my 06 I mounted the ballast's for my HID lights on that bracket.Made it a pain when removing that bracket. On my 11, I mounted the ballasts differently and take that whole bracket. Just make sure you properly retuck the rubber curtain between the headlight and the air box. Keeps snow out of the top of the engine compartment.
