I followed the directions to remove the skid. No problem

Unfortunately, gravity doesn't help when you try to put it back in.
I got as far as getting the rear bolts back in. But can't lift the front of the suspension up enough to get the front bolts in. Seems like the bushings like to hang up on the tunnel doubler brackets and I can't pry both sides at the same time to lift past them. The limiter strap and transfer rod are disconnected.
I'm using an engine hoist and need a procedure that works with one person. Thanks

First of all, put the front bolts in first, then the back bolts. I put mine on it's side to put the skid back in. That way you aren't fighting gravity. Still is a pain to work the bushings around all the rivets they like to hang up on.

I've always installed the front bolts first. If you look at the front mounting brackets there is a small area where the front shaft slides inside the brackets.
I just leave the skis's on the floor and use the engine hoist to lift the rear of the skid. Also I just disconnect the rear bolt on the transfer rod. After you put the rear bolts in, just keep lowering the rear of the sled until the transfer bolt lines up.
No need to disconnect transfer rod and the limiter strap.

Front bolts in first then use ratchet strap and pull together susp front anr rear arms until same distance as holes in tunnel.
Either on its side or lift rear and lower with something under the rear to help the rear susp go up in as you lower then stop when holes line up.
