X5 on removing the stock fuelpump replacing it with a high capacity pump :-) If you try to compensate lack of top end fuel delivery by adding to the midrange circuitry you will be pig rich in the mid. By adding fuel pressure you will have more fuel on top then you can take away fuel in the mid.
Hope you get it up at peak power soon buddy.
BTW - I'm only hours away from fireing up my turbo. rxrider

GSL392 if you want to simply add it inline. I also have the relay to turn it on as well (just like your gauges are setup). Let me know if you need it. The only time I have changed the pump on a Apex was when it was up over 17 lbs on a Stage 2 supercharger.

Why run stock pumps to the max/edge? That is a BOOM waiting to happen. If there is one thing you want to do over kill it is fuel supply!!

Remove stock pump, go overkill on pump capacity, add a fuel pressure regulator to dump excess fuel back into the fuel tank, this is the right way of doing it.

My MPI sc Nytro at 800 ft altitude , runs out of fuel at 9 lbs , even with Mpi's external pump upgrade kit.

Mpi can run to 18 lbs boost at their altitude approx 8000ft with the same system.

Seems us flatlanders use more fuel !!

Does that mean we make the 2 times the hp at 800 ft compared to them at 8000 ft ??????

WEll I got my set up all ready to put back in the tank but I cant get it to fit! It will fit if I rotate the assembly and face it a different direction but then the mounting plate and round placement pin built in the tank do not work, its like the pick up need to be rotated 180 degrees but the pump wont allow it?

Thanks for the help

You have to spin the hole setup 180degress. You will have to cut a new slot on the top of the plate to fit the little button and use the stock one on the bottom.

Here are some picts

Thanks DC5 I didn't see your post last night. So drill a hole in the metal retainer rotate the entire thing 180 degrees and it should all line up?

Lastly stupid question whats up with the o ring seal its like a 1/2" too large now? It must have expanded or something just try and squish it into the groove when installing?

Thanks a lot I appreciate it!!!

Yep, but you will need to spin the 90 degree fitting to make it fit. You will need to replace the rubber seal. I bought a new one but it took to long to get so I just replaced it with a normal o-ring and it has worked fine. I also boiled one in hot water and then 2 days later it shrunk back to its original size.

Spin the 90 degree fitting on top where the fuel line connects to the sled?

Shoot on the rubber seal I'm under the gun to get parts for my trip wend, I'll have to try boiling it!

The fitting that connects to the white plate that holds the pump. You will see when you install it. You can get an normal o-ring from any hardware store that will work fine if you need it quick.
