Carb help

I pulled the carbs off my 03 rx1 for a cleaning and while I was taking them apart I didn't notice how one part was installed. It's the small silver barrel looking thing that is installed beneath the main jet. It sticks up into the main part of the carb throat. I assume it is some sort of guide for the needle. One end of the barrel has a concave and the other end does not. Just wondering which way they go back in

Ok. I looked in my service manual. The little barrel thing is called the needle jet but it doesn't tell me which way it goes back in. Concave end to the top or bottom? I am assuming it goes to the top to help guide the needle because the main jet butts up against the flat side to keep it in place. I assume

You are correct. Needle drops in it from top of carb, when you take black cover off just pull needle.
I always do 1 carb at a time cause I am to old to remember more than 10 minutes.
