Going with what seems to be convention here and ditching the tuners on my new 18 LTX-SE. What is everyone running for a good 60/40 trail/off trail split for carbides? Get a lot of wet mushy snow here in the north east.

I use 6" shapers in the middle and 4" round bars outside .I tried 4" shapers outside but it was too much .You''ll love the 6.9" the DS2 works well also .

Woodys executive 8" with 60 degree carbide and 1/2'' host round bar.......you just cannot beat these prices at CB Perf.(66$)....Shapers are just way way overpriced IMO.
9500 model number is for pilots(2 angled studs)
My executives look NEW still after one season.
Move stock 4" to outer position.

Also we had great results with the Square style ACE bars from woodys.....they come in 8" or 6". And on ebay the executives go for about 71/pair and the ACE go for about 73/pair....so Im gonna grab some ACE too.

I'm using 6" Deuce bars on my 6.9's along with a Woodys Navigator up front, more for ski protection more than anything else. (Doo skis wear quick and pretty bad). Funny thing is I hated this setup on my Doo but works darn nice on the Winder. On the Doo they pushed, steered hard on the hardpack and darted. On the Winder they steer easy, don't dart and don't seem to push too bad. Go figure.
It seems the Winder does not really give a crap whats on the skis for carbide compared to the Doo which steered so hard and darted and was super fussy on carbide sleection. I'll hand it to Cat on their front end. Its the best part of the whole machine!

I hear ya Mike....the doos we had to be very particular with carbide and ski setups....these things tend to work well with about anything with exception of what YAM puts on them, GO FIGURE! Also amazing on slider life, mine shocked me as they look like it was barely rode down the trail once!

I went with Dan's advice and bought the 8" executives , but i felt like i needed more bite and bought a set of 8" shapers. After 2 seasons and 1400 miles the executives are holding strong, but I'm looking forward to installing the shapers.
Nothing wrong with the executives they work pretty darn good, but coming off Simmons i wanted something with a bit more grab.

Yeah the executives and 6.9 can push abit....why im gonna try these ACE bars....similar to a shaper at much less cost. The woodys seem to hold up really well.

Thanks all for the advice. I ended up going for the 8" Ace bars with 4" Extender Trails on the outside. Add to it between 144 and 168 studs in the track and I'll be good to go.
I'm used to running about 7-8" of carbide on my old Arctic Cat, so hopefully this wont disappoint.

Wow, these came fast! First time ive looked closely at these new ACE bars from woody's. VERY TALL(claim tallest made) and I would say same or even taller then a shaper, but SOLID square bar, not an 'I' beam like shapes which wear out. And less cost then shapers. Only 73$
Carbide end to end if you order their 8" like I did. However as many doo guys know, the total max length since the pilot bar is short/curved is 7-3/8" total....but they call it 8". Hard weld at front bend like many of the woodys for pilots have.
Im excited to run these, the 6.9s do push a tad and I can see these being the ticket.
PICS.
