I have the xtx 146, center shock is just the factory unlabelled one, and I added a stingray spring. What difference will I see in upgrading the shock?

It will last longer if a good one. That shock is constantly the worst of all condition wise whenever I do rebuilds.

What do you suggest I upgrade to?

Fresh rebuild (oil& nitrogen) before season will make a big difference.
Revalving shocks will improve ride ( if rider knows what he wants ) .
Adjustable fox qsr3 shocks work better because you can adjust while riding down the trail, compression & rebound settings .

Thank ! I just want the ride as smooth as possible , but I am all over the map in terrain that I ride, from fields to trails . I'll just have to keep an eye out for something used and get it rebuilt/valved. If you have something Cannondale, shoot me a message.

I don’t have any but Carver,Hygear would. Maybe some Oem Fox that work on that skid.Thank ! How good is this HP center shock when re-valved compared to QS3 or QS3R etc if you forget about the adjust ability for coming back late Sunday trails?

Not even close. It is a base shock. How good is this HP center shock when re-valved compared to QS3 or QS3R etc if you forget about the adjust ability for coming back late Sunday trails?

Same difference in the LTX SE coupled skid?
If the center shock works harder than the rear on procross:
-Why did they put a 1.5 center shock and a 2.0 in the rear in all models.
-Why on IQS only the rear is electronic adjustable and they put a regular HP in center.

Monotube Alum-HP GAS 1.5
Rear Shock(s)

Just trying to make sense of it all.

I never said the center shock works harder than rear. They both work together in the coupled skids but I will say the center shock is so much shorter and such a short stroke for the travel it’s no wonder they require service way sooner than the rear.Same difference in the LTX SE coupled skid?

More than likely a good reason for them using a 1.5 shock in center is the coil spring on it. Would need a big spring on a 2”.Same difference in the LTX SE coupled skid?

I'm on season 3 with my SE shocks. The rear suspension was noticeably softer this season. I'll be pulling all 4 and having them rebuilt/revalved for my weight. I'd imagine that should make a good bit of difference.
I've never once been dissatisfied with the front suspension on my sled. The rear is not as nice as the Rmotion and Poo skid.
