Do I tighten my chain on my Attak gt this year? most of my friends have poos and they tighten it sometimes by hand. Do I need to do this? Is it as easy? my buddies rev blew chaincase, dealer said "he didn"t tighten his chain".

hand tight, then back it off 1/4 Turn....
when new it does stretch,so you should check it....cant hurt.
also smart to get rid of stock lube and use a SYNTHETIC chain lube....brand doesnt matter as much as it being 100%synth....

One thing to add - after you hand tighten - make sure you turn the nut back to hold it tight.
It might seem trivial now - but I have been down that road.

It makes ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE to use synthetic chain lube. Synthetic oils do NOT provide better lubrication as they conform to the same specifications as standard oils. The only difference is that they can suspend a greater amount of dirt, but being a chaincase, the dirt is too big and too heavy to be suspended anyways.

It's a good idea to at least check the chain tension each year. If, as the clutches engage, you feel or hear a slight clunk (can be difficult to notice as a separate noise/feel from clutch engagement unless you pay attention), it can be caused by a little looseness in the chain.
I adjusted mine earlier this year and noticed an improvement in the smoothness at engagement.
