Any tricks to getting the chain case off on my 08 Nytro that has reverse? Can I pull the case off and leave on the reverse linkage? Last does that bolt on the right side of the case at about 3' o-clock also come out?
I want to count number of teeth in upper gear and see if the lower gear bolt is broken. Sled has 2,000 miles on it.
Will it go back on with no problems?

the nyrto should be the same as the phazer. there reverese is in a separate gear case so it doesnt effect your chaincase. to get the cover off just take out all the bolts around the case. i think there's 5. also the brakes need to come off as well, calipers and disk. the bolt at 3 oclock im guessing your talking about the adjuster. they does need to be loosened up to get the case off.

Thanks for the link Alatalo, so I am about to have some real fun with my reverse fork. Wish you were alittle closer to my Denver location rather than Sweden. My Swedish cousin just had baby #3 in Stockholm. Great detail, I will print this one out.

Be careful! There is a little o-ring that is behind the collar on the jackshaft that would be so easy to damage or lose. Also, there is a washer on another shaft inside that could stick to the cover when you remove it.
