Hey did you check the other end of the driveshaft bearing while you were working on it?
I've got 6500 miles on my '04 Warrior and the bearing went on the speedo end, took out the sensor ..... sealed bearing.
Found in forum and yamaha that you should replace both ends ... plan to do the chaincase end this spring.

All you got to do is repack the bearing at the end-of-season and mid-season and you should be good to go for many moons!Key words, end-of-season: You need to make sure you get all the water out before letting is sit for 7 months.
