OK troops.. I have a 05 vector with the factory battery.. It still sounds good when stating my sled "BUT". I plan on going to Da-great white north in jan where it could get verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry cold.. My concern is the horror stories I've read about the oil lines hooked to the air box.. How hard is it to take off the box and keeping the hoses in the proper order when re-installing them ? And what a good price for a new batt. Thanks MM. :-o

$80 is a good price if you can find one, but IMO for how much you depend on the battery, why cheap out? Remember, you can't pull start these puppies!

Pulling the airbox is easy enough, BUT the underside oil like is the culprit of many a horror stories! I actually went out and bought a long needle nose pliers to put the hose back on to the airbox. If the hose was 1" longer, it would be a snap.

Just make SURE you have the hose on after you have the airbox on. Use a pen flashlight to make sure.

I just replaced my battery with an OEM battery which turned out to be another Yuassa and about $10.00 more than an after market battery that is also a Yuassa battery. On that hose problem. Just unhook it from the other end and keep it attached to the airbox and lift the airbox up to where you need it. Then just slide it back onto the stem at the bottom of the engine after attaching the airbox. Much easier.
