Will I notice any difference? 0 -1000' sea level, Vector Mountain. I am looking to have more low end to be able to lift the front end a little more for boondocking. Will there be much of a down side other than a few MPH?

ttt - Am I going the wrong way with the gears? Seems others are running 19/40 or 18/40. What is the right way to go if I want more low end pull? Somebody please help.

Either way will work. 19/40 = 2.11 & 20/42 = 2.10. It's usually cheaper to change the top that's why most people do it that way. Either way will enhance the low end.

I am using 20 x 42 and it works quite well.

My top end is about 88 mph now with this gearing and a 162 x16 x2.5" Challenger Extreme.

Yes, the front end comes right up when I nail the throttle. I think it has more to do with the track hooking up hard than the gearing but perhaps the gearing plays into it as well.

Frosty
