Anyone know what RPM the sled should be charging the battery?
I have a bad battery, trying to save it. But as soon as I disconnect the leads from the jumper battery the sled dies (while idling)
Just a little nervous that somethign else is acting up in my Apex (although really cant imagine it)

Do you have a dc voltmeter? If the battery measures less than 12v, its toast.

Replace your battery or alternatively run a battery test on the one you have first.
It should read about 13.5 volts at idle. At that voltage its charging the battery.
You could also try to disconnect the "faulty" battery, and run only on the jumped battery. You should see a increased voltage as soon as your engine is running.

My bet is you need a new battery.
A bad battery can cause all sorts of problems. I chased an er-1 code early this year because of a bad battery.
