anyone had any issues with this? I put in a new voltage regulator and that didnt fix it. checked charge coil resistance per yamaha manual, ok. wiring ok. any ideas?
also, has anyone ever removed the stator cover on a vector with motor still in the sled??

I was told that the charging system is already to the top of the spectrum for its output, and to be careful when adding accessorys not to overload the charging system. I was told that by Alpine.
Dont remove the stator, you will never get anything from a visual inspection
You just do a simple running test on the 3 phase (3 white wires) and it's good or it's bad, if you pull the cover off you cant test the stator
You should have 50 - 80v ac at 2000rpm and should be the same on all 3 phases, no continuity to ground
Regardless those sleds dont have stator problems I bet you have wiring issues, burned fuse, bad load control relay or whatever
First look at any acc you have and disco them
