Another one in the shop with the screws that have loosened up and come out. A couple more miles down the trail and this would have been very very bad.
This is in the chaincase of an XF9000 (basically same as Sidewinder or Viper)
The fix to keep this from happening is tack weld the screws once they are tight.

Tack welding....red loctite has come loose, even after cleaning with brake clean.Are you guys always welding or using loctite?

It varies with no definitive milage. My sidewinder was a mess @ 4,100 miles, back side screw had egged out the hole and was close to creating a bomb in the chain case. Just as Terry say's, it needs your attention and it's an easy fix.What kind of mileage is this showing up at?
