I posted some pics and nytromaniac spotted an inconsistency between the shock in relation with the upper a arm. in other words see if your shocks are in the center of your a arms. i have two nytros 1 rtx and 1 fx both with low mileage both have the same issue the shocks are not in the center and on the right side are closer the rear also I noticed that the spindle rake is affected by this with two nytro's side by side in the trailer there is a 1" difference in the spindle rake ( maybe the fx and the rtx are different) I don't know but this is an interesting subject and I'll post my pics and check yours. Bill.....

This has been covered so many times! What are you gonna do they wont warranty it. I dont even bother measuring mine anymore if they bend they bend, if there already bent then they'll stay that way. The sled still runs and ive had to do nothing to it but keep the track tight. Way to go Yamaha ill be buying another one. Thanks for the worry free season

I wonder why it always seems to be the right side.
Hmmm..?

I'll be straightening mine before next ride. Not because the ride is affected, but so that I don't get any more paint transfer from the two parts.

I called the dealer and he said that it's normal and all sleds the a arms move back and forth just from riding and that you can adjust them with a pry bar prior to riding??

The only reason they're saying it's "normal" is because it's happening to them ALL ! What isn't "normal" is the need to use a pry bar on a brand new sled in order to straighten it out, this is 110% UNACCEPTABLE !

Yeah, way to go Yamaha....

I hope you laughed in his face and knocked on his head with your knuckles yelling "Hello McFly!"

That's the stupidest excuse... IMO there should be an update to the 09 suspension for the 08's.

i first saw this on my buddys phazer last year, this year we bought a phazer and a nytro and my buddy pointed it out on the two new sleds that they wenrt centered

My sled was the same from day 1 (0 miles). After stripping all the plastic and measuring everything that I possibly could, I have found that the lower A-arm on the right side measures different than the left. The rear leg on the right lower A-arm is about 1/8" too short. This causes the offset shock and a straighter caster angle, not to mention a shorter wheelbase on the right side. I have a feeling this is a product of the jig or proccess used @ the factory.
I have fixed mine, not with a prybar but by cutting and rewelding the bushing eyes on the A-arm.
I have close to 2000 miles on my sled. The top A-arm bushings are quite loose now, so are the lower ball joints, but nothing has bent in the front end. I have bent rear suspension parts and rails though (MTX).
Just my observations for your info.
Cheers.
