I cleaned my carbs and installed on my first engine install. Ran it 6 mins couldn't get oil pressure pulled it out. 2nd time around I fired it up and it wouldn't idle right, remove carbs and all pilots and 2 secondary jets were plugged or partially plugged.

I'm thinking when i jostled the gas tank around although it can't be much worse then when your flying down a trail. I just picked it up and set it aside for about 3 weeks.

Question should I try to siphon out the last 1/8 of a tank then shoudl I try and clean it some how? I just don't want the carbs to plug again I haven't fired it up yet. The gas is old and has stabil in it.

If I was smart I would have dumped the gas when the tank was off and checked the fule filter :o|

Siphon all you can out, then add a filter on each line. This should protect the carbs. I'd be tempted to install them after the pumps.
