i closed my tunnel about 2 months ago. do i now remove the rear section of those metal fins yamaha put on to keep ice off the running boards?? (didnt work but better then nothing) I dont wanna get my exhaust too hot making it melt my plastic. I would like a quick response thanks im taking the sled out later today to the cabin

doesn't matter really. they will be there for mostly looks, now that your tunnel is closed.

on-off, you choose.

Closed mine off but left the skirts on, think it looks cleaner than seeing the pipe + the LEO's can't see that it's not stock anymore! ;)!

If they say something, I'll just say that's the way it came from the factory? dunno......

I believe the Yamaha instructions for the close-off kit mention to not put the plastic skirts back on.
