i closed my tunnel about 2 months ago. do i now remove the rear section of those metal fins yamaha put on to keep ice off the running boards?? (didnt work but better then nothing) I dont wanna get my exhaust too hot making it melt my plastic. I would like a quick response thanks im taking the sled out later today to the cabin

With the Yamaha Closure kit they tell you too in the instructions.

I took off the side plastic after closing the rear tunnel off, no problems yet.

doesn't matter really. they will be there for mostly looks, now that your tunnel is closed.

Closed mine off but left the skirts on, think it looks cleaner than seeing the pipe + the LEO's can't see that it's not stock anymore!

I believe the Yamaha instructions for the close-off kit mention to not put the plastic skirts back on.
