Am about to start ulmer clutch kit just wondering any tricks for belt removal shold the secondary move in and out a 1/4 inch with no strain and should belt be almost be all the way down in primary not started not having trouble with machine so I guess it's right also what should I clean everything up with while i'm in there.

yes the secondary should have a little slop.

belt in primary, yes it should be down. but in secondary it should be close to the top.

the secondary, you should grab the back half & twist clockwise & push at same time, then hold it when it moves backward & work the belt off.

if you take off & apart the secondary just spray down with some brake cleaner.
don't need to take off for clutch kit though.

sure thing, that's what TY's all about.

giving/finding well needed info.

i know i'd be lost if i didn't find TY.

Just put the parking brake and grab hold of the secondary's face that is on the inside (closer to the sled) and push it in while turning it clockwise.

If I didn't find this site and all of you helpful guys I would not have given my phaz the time it takes to get used to rider forward sled and adjust suspension to get it where I need it to be comfortable for . Thanks guys and TY.

Get yourself a good uused reverse secondary and belt changing, secondary cleaning, and adjustments will all be much easier - and no more worry about the silly Circlip breaking.
BTW, anyone know where can I get a primary puller for the Phazer - VL?
thanks,
