I have a new 2005 RX-1 Warrior. I am wondering if it would be OK to put a clutch kit on it before it is ever ridden or broken in. Does it really matter? Or should I wait??

CLUTCH KIT
Go for it ,unless you want to feel the sled stock first !

I actually put on about 50 miles before i clutched mine only because after riding it i decided it clearly wasn't clutched how i'd like. I highly doubt it matters if you clutch it right out the box, but i wanted to feel it before i started changing things.

If you put the clutch kit in new 0 miles, then you will have to retune it after the motor breaks in. You will get more rpms as the motor breaks in. I waited till I got about 800 miles to put the kit in my Warrior. Much better with the kit. My sled only did about 9,000 to 9,500 before it broke in. Now 10,000 to 10,500 rpm.
