hi i have an o3 rx1 and my primary clutch is very clanky sounding is normal. i just picked up this machine with 2800 miles . i have an 07 apex and it makes no noise. is it a hard fix ? lube? cleaning? thanks for any help

It's the gear reduction unit behind the primary clutch. It takes the 10,200 RPM your engine is turning and drops it down to a more belt friendly 8,000 RPM.
There's nothing wrong but if you bump up your idle a bit you can make it go away (if it's the sound I am thinking you are hearing).

thanks frostbite but what should the idle be . this noise i'm talking about is at idle so i think your right . if i give a little throttle it goes away.will a little drop of lube or graphite help

Put down the clutch lube and slowly walk away.
You won't be needing it for your clutches.
Just bump up the idle a little at a time and somewhere around 1,700 to 1,900 RPM it will disapear.
