seen code 46 at 90mph plus on rail road bed last week a few times went away after slowing down how to you chase that down when it doesn't stay on hard to check voltage regulator or stator when code is gone and battery never went dead still starts an runs fine on stand no snow in illinios
Tough on for sure. It might be a sign that the stator or pick up and going bad. High rpms put a lot of stress in the system and throwing a code might mean that it is getting weak.
What type of voltage do you have at idle and at higher rpm?

everthing has seemed to check out alright I had it happen about 450 miles ago at slower speeds would run like crap when code was up hand warmers quit but then code would go away and run fine have all ground blocks apart before this time when I got home from up north went threw whole wiring harness checked for bad spot and took all grounds apart and loose from everything cleaned an reassembled so just keep starting it in garage every day till next trip would suck to break down but if its the stator or voltage regulator every other sled iv had when they go there just done no coming back to life
