so i installed some rox 2" pivoting risers on my phazer, and re routed my throttle cable under the handle bars per somone elses suggestion. i start the sled up everything is going great let it warm up no issues as soon as i turn the handlebars to the left code 84 kicks in. there isnt any tension on the cable. as soon as i shut it down and straighten the handlebars and start it back up its fine untill i turn again. does anyone have an idea whats going on?

Loosen up the cable ties down below the headlight and adjust them. I put on 3" with no issues...

That's what I did I will post pics when I get home. cables and all seem loose. I had the throttle taken off the bars maybe I messed something up there

When you re-seat the throttle cable - there is a metal clip that must be properly seated otherwise it will throw a TODS error.

Here is a simple test. With the motor running pull on the throttle cable where it enters the handlebar control. If it triggers TORS the clip isn't seated right. Happened a few times to me when I installed a 2" ROX pivoting riser. Its all good now.

so i got everything pulled apart again. im pretty sure its that metal clip in the throttle lever because when i pull on it it throws a code and i can push it back in and it goes off. i just want to make sure that little metal clip showed in the attached picture is the one i need to screw with

Yes - the little metal clip held in with a screw in the first picture. When you have it installed properly you should not be able to pull the throttle cable out. You have to bend the end a little to get the cable to seat properly.

When installing the cable into the throttle, unscrew the clip and install the cable with clip into the hole. Then screw it down. The end of the clip fits into the "ring" around the end of the cable (sorry for the bad description).

Okay I think I know what you're talking about I'll have to pull it apart tomorrow. And I'll take a couple pics and circle those parts because if it's supposed to be how I understand it something is rly messed up

I found my throttle cable was too tight so I had to loosen it at the engine to prevent TORS. Supposed to have 2 - 3mm of slack at the throttle.

I installed the same ROX pivot riser but I kept the throttle cable inside the windshield brackets. Lots of wire to work with.

Or do disable it, and keep the GoPro running. You can make the next viral video like that last Yamaha that ran across the field after a huge jump and smacked a tree!

i found the cable was too tight there was no slack in the throttle all i did was loosen the cord at the throttle body and play with that metal clip a little and it quit.
on th upside i had an excuse to clean out my airbox.
