Hi I'm new to this site and wondering if someone can help me. I had to remove the oil tank on my 07 Phazer after reassembly I got code 84 and 15. I know the codes are for the throttle position sensor and tors. I have checked the throttle cable removed the throttle position sensor and checked it with an ohm meter. The wiring looks good. I have run out of things to try. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the pins and sockets in the plugs.

Repair or replace if there is an open or short circuit. Between throttle position sensor coupler and ECU coupler.

Just a hunch but check you're grounding block by the oil tank maybe?

I've checked the wiring connections. I just don't know why I would be getting both these codes at one time.

I will check the grounding block. That is one thing I never tried.

If the TPS is faulty and thinks that the throttle is open, the TORS will also get set off because it's not sensing that the throttle is open lever is in the open posipion. Solve the TPS and I bet TORS will go away as well.

Does anyone know where the GPS ground to? I checked the GPS with an ohm meter all through its travel and it went from 4ohms to 6 ohms so I believe it's functioning properly.

Going to sound silly but ride it a mile or so shut off and ride again and all may be well. You can get a speed sensor trip while working on the sled and it will reset when you ride it. At least it has for me so it might be worth a try.
