Cold no starts at -30. Anyone else ?

I successfully started my XTX after sitting all night at MINUS 45 C. I think it got a bit colder but the thermo only registered to 45 below. I cycled the pump 4 times and then started cranking. She caught after about the 5th try but sounded like it was only on one cyclinder. After 10 seconds, she cut in and idled away for 15 minutes before I moved it. I would not want to repeat this performance as I am sure it's not good for the engine but I have peice of mind that it will start even in the most extreme conditions.
