I used the aluminum mounts, I didn't like how the plastic mounts would shake. They were very distracting and I couldn't line them up properly without turning my throttle flipper to a location that wasn't comfortable for me. The aluminum mount allow independent adjustment.Did you use the nylon mounts for the hand guards or the aluminum?

Yeah, I have a set of the aluminum mounts but for the xtx le there has to be some trimming of the bars to get them work. Same bars as the mtx.
Don't want to cut the thing up yet so I think I will try and fab up something

I got the same windshield and froze last weekend. looks cool but no protection. I couldnt imagine riding with the stock one!!!Went with the Yamaha low sport.
Hopefully it will be enough protection.

i would do at least a mid, as its only as tall as the mountain grab strap,
i did the high as id rather be warm then look cool, but it may be a tad high to weave thru the woods. i bet its more than 4" taller then my xtx se mtn grab strap. might even be 5 or 6. def warm tho.
dont even think i will need hand guards with it.

Using that exact windshield and road at -25c and no issues.Had my first ride on my viper xtx le. Loved the sled but almost froze and almost blew off the sled.
What are you guys using in a higher windshield for a bit of extra wind protection on your le's.
Don't seem like there's anything out there specific for the LE's
Would love to see some picts
Thanks

I thought I would freeze with the stock windshield but after riding last weekend Iwas fine. Hand protection in more of a key for me and Iuse gauntlets, which worked perfectly. Very happy with the handwarmers too, I can't even leave them on low full time or my hands are too hot and I wear spring riding gloves.

this here's the ticket;
side view;
Arctic Cat 2014, not sure which one (bought it last year) off the 7000?? bolts right on with the exception of the 2 lower "wings" that should attach to the blue part of the plastic,
they don't line up, I just left them where they landed, no issues 4000 miles later

The tallest one for the 7000 series. It requires trimming to make it work. Holes do align.What cat sled does that big windshield come on?
