Stock windshield isn't getting it done for me. Love the look, but it's a bit too cold and leaves my Garmin out in the wind. Yamaha's selection of accessory windshields in virtually non-existent, so I'm making my own.

I like the profile of the Viper Low Sport windshield, but not as big a fan of the decal treatment. I used it as my starting point:

I'm happy with this for now, need to install my GPS and ride it before I do any more carving.

will the viper low sport that you have there mount on the sidewinder?

It could be mounted, and I've seen pics of sleds that have already done this. There is a tab on the left/right side (closest to you when sitting on sled) that has to be trimmed. It is a mounting point on the Viper that doesn't exist on the SW.

IMG_1906.JPG IMG_1908.JPG I had the same problem I cut mine down 3-4 weeks ago because I was horrified how it looked on my sled. Lol

Looks good. I'm not done carving yet, but for now this is acceptable. My primary use for the sled is not hunting caribou, so the "mid-height" offering was not quite to my liking...

Nice!! Can you make me one! ...why can't Yamaha get off there #*$&@ and make something nice like this!!!

I'm guessing that Yamaha had a 3rd party handling their accessory windshields and something went sideways in their agreement.

I put almost 6k on the viper with the low sport, I need the same for my winder.
