i rewired my hand warmers in parallel instead of series and they work awesome now, but my right thumb gets cold.
Is there a way to make the thumb warmer work better? Add a universal thumb warmer to it maybe?

Any problems with the ECM after running them in parrellel? I was thinking of doing this because I am tired of cold hands... Actually I was thinking of putting aftermarket heaters in the bars for the cold days and using the factory ones on warm days.

you will blow ignition fuse if you run them on high, although there is no need to go above 4

Above 4 you will melt the grips. LOL Maxdlx

never blew a fuse yet or melted grips, but they seem pretty warm at 1/2 or less.

No-one has added another warmer to the throttle, or does mine just suck?

Have you measured the resistance across the Thumb warmer yet? If you get Zero of Infinite Ohms, then it probably needs to be replaced.

I added a Medium Height Windshield to my sled. They stick out to the side a bit better also. That helped protect the hands a lot. But, from day one, my thumb warmer always did get uncomfortably hot if on or near a high setting. Please let me know what Ohm Reading you get.

i get about 41.5 ohms? Puts out 12 volts at 2-3000 rpms, 9V at idle. Maybe i'll try another thumb warmer?
Maybe its the turbo, low windshield, and fairly small handgaurds. Maybe it just seems cold as faster=more wind=more cold.
Either way the turbo is real fun ;)!

as far as I have ever heard, no on ever complained about low heat on the RX sleds. Mine will burn my hands, and have since day one. The only problems were with the newer Apex sleds. Starting in 06 was the first talk of this. Maybe as the older sleds age something is going bad. There was no talk of low heat 5 to 6 years ago.

My 03 warmers work too good. And my thumb has calises from the blisters when I burn it !!! Im not kidding! ;)!

Same here I HAVE to turn them down or they get too hot. Of course when it's 30 below they're on high and it's not an issue above zero with no wind they burn wired from the factory never touched them.
