Cold weather gas additives.

I was wondering if any of you guys use isopropyl in the gas for really cold temps. I did on my two stroke but is there any concern with my new xtx?

No concerns, no, but the gas you buy probably already has 10%+ ethyl alcohol. That being the case, there is no reason to be adding anything else for dealing with water/ice.

even when buying that crappy gas up north thats been sitting in tanks for 4 months. Surely if there is water in the fuel it will cause some problems.

Owners manual says no additives. I had no problems in the U.P. last year. One 2 stroke in our group went boom on bad gas.

I agree with LazyBastard that the 10% ethel is enough.
