Hey all,

I’m getting some condensation in my gauge pod and it’s driving me insane :o| Any remedies on keeping out the moisture??

Thanks

The gauge on my Apex has been accumulating moisture on the inside of the lens for a while. Two weeks ago the gauge started freaking out as if it had an electrical short.

Come to find out that the rubber boot that covers the plug on the back of the gauge had become unseated. Steam from the front exchanger was rising and getting into the gauge.

I pulled the gauge apart and cleaned/dried everything overnight. Put it back together, seated the rubber boot properly and haven't had a problem since.

depending on the year your sled, if an 03 get the up dated boot from the newer RX sled. It provides a better seal at the back of the gauge.

you could try to fit one of those moisture packets like from a pill bottle in the guage somewhere. It worked on my bike. Any time I washed it, moisture would build up. This means taking the cluster apart though.

I did this on my 03 RX but have not been out in the powder yet to test it, will post when I get some seat time.
