Hey crew,

For the life of me I can’t get my track to run straight in the old Apex MTN. When you look under the the machine the Wahl Bros No Slip Sprockets I’m running are to the far right of the track windows. As you would guess too, the space between the track clips and the slides are also uneven with the larger gap on the left rail

I’m sure there is a simple trick here. I’ve already played the guessing game with the track adjusters. :o|

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

I had the same problem with mine, when I installed the Avids and camo extreme. I measured out the drivers in the bulkhead and they where within 2 millimetres centred where they should be after that I took the shaft out again and put it on the lathe and trued the drivers diameter up exactly
(Only the internal driver parts) after that the drivers ran way more true.
You will be surprised how out of round they are.
I had to do that an a few sets over the years but this one was the worst, That figures---the most I ever spend on drivers --Avids-- and they did not run true. Sometimes I wonder if the tracks can be a bit out as well.

Good luck

Did you have the back axle apart and if so did you get it put back together right. If I understand what your problem is the track is running true not wondering back and forth but just too far to the left correct? If it's wondering back and forth it most likely is the drivers are not squared up. If it's running straight but too far to one side I would check the inside idlers to make sure they are in between the lugs as they should be. This is true for the rear axle inside wheel also. Sorry but this is all I can think of unless something is bent.

I spent some time with the hit and miss option and have it running straighter than it was. I don't think I was holding my mouth right the first time! I can can live with it now. The wheels are running where I want them but I think I may have to address a driver alignment issue according to my local shop. I'll let you know.

Thanks for the advice.
