Cooling issues

2010 xtx, yellow came in last year, so trying to fix it this year. But I noticed the the rad, the head, and thermostat housing get hot but my heat exchanger and coolant hoses running to the heat exchanger are reading almost 100 degrees cooler. Wouldn't they all be reading pretty close to the same temp? Almost seems like it's not circulating. Any ideas?

Have you ever flushed your coolant system and installed new Yamaha coolant? It also could be a bad thermostat.

if all your heat insulation is burnt away from your header top and lower cover it will dump all the heat right into the heat exchanger and make the temp light come on.causing the engine to run hotter than normal
