In those conditions you would need a good set of scratchers to put snow in the tunnel and on the slides. I have never used them on the VL and the only overheat issues I had was last season but once I drained and replaced the coolant it was good again. I don't run for long strateches in frozen conditions as it would melt the slides. I have also used mine for hauling wood with no issues. I have heard stories of engine failure locally but I haven't seen many accounts of that on here - so I'm not sure of the causes.MNicefisher said:Still tying to make up my mind on buying a VL and have another question. The VL has the cooling fan for the radiator like the mtx right? Does this fan eliminate over heating like if you rode on a lake with little to no snow would the fan keep it from over heating or is it more just a supplemental fan to help assist in cooling when not moving?
