Curves on SW - No tolerance for fitment?

How did that work? On mine, the sleeves were an exact width match to my sled spindles+spacers. Grinding the sleeves down would not have solved my problem.
Does he mean the big spacer that let's you change the ski width?I can see that working. The spindle itself is much narrower.

Best solution is to spread saddle with threaded rod and nuts on both sides inside the saddle. Crank nuts out to spread the saddle. Heat with a hair dryer or heat gun. Curve informed me there is no issue with warming them up.

I am now checking saddle width before shipping and will correct them as needed.

It appears the Tuner 3 skis are a different saddle width than the procross skis that's where the confusion was...

Curve will be coming out with an update for existing customers who purchased a XS30611 mount kit, and introducing an all new mount kit part # for the Sidewinder and Viper.

Spread the word and I'll try to get this update out before the holiday weekend as I have to do some fitment testing to find the right new bushing...
How does one go about getting this update. I kept my Curves when I traded my Viper and have a brand new XS30611 mount kit on the shelf that I was planning on using.

I’ll probably go this route, got a foot of light and fluffy coming tomorrow, no way I’m riding in that with the awful Tuners.

On a similar note, I found this spanner wrench in the back of my apex. It works great on the sw spring nuts compared to the supplied ones. Maybe Travis has some? I'll buy another! I think it's for the control rod adjustment. It's the width of the nuts so goes on and stays on instead of knucklebustin.
Its not the control rod spanner. Found that too..lol

Curve is going make new bushings and get the out to whoever needs them.

The tuner 3 ski uses the same spindle sleeve as the 14 viper with cat single keel skis. The 15 vipers equipped with tuner skis with non replaceable ski loops used a shorter sleeve.

I supply my own hardware for mounting curves so i cant vouch for curve mounting kits.

My take on whole issue is some skis are being shipped with out of spec saddle width. Anything manufactured has a working range for tolerance. Sometimes things fall out of the range and dont fit. Mistakes happens. I am taking measures for curves I sell and I have no doubts Curve will too.

Grinding the sleeve down was easy. Took about 3/32 off of them and they fit perfect now. I personally would rather do that than heat and stretch the plastics beyond the 90 degrees they come out of the mold. The guy at Curve went to a Yamaha dealer and measured several spindles and found they are different lengths so likely that is the issue rather than the skis.
