Daring and handling Bad

op, is that toe in or out?

Curves with slim jims should handle the front end darting. I'd work in the rear spring for the balance of the ride as suggested.

The spring that he installed is not correct for the dx skid. Install the stock spring or upgrade to the cat dual rate spring upgrade that I think cat started using in 17.
He needs to get rid of the POGO STICK feeling when letting of the flipper which is causing the skid to be out of control. Set the torsion springs to #2 for his weight.Set FTS preload to an 1/8 inch. Set FSS to 1/8 preload, chuck the factory couple block and install the racewerx 6position block, start with position 3-4-5 and ride sled and keep limit straps between 1/2 to start.
Million dollar skis and carbides don’t mean a thing unless the skid is set correctly.

Ya had snowtrackers on my vector and love them.

snowtrackers on the cat ski work fantastic. That's what I'm running on my sidewinder and my dad's 16 viper.

Beings you have curves, slim jims are a good option to prevent the darting. I also have a set of snowtrackers that fit the curve skis. Had a little testing on them last season, and hoping to test them more this year. I do have one customer running them on his curves, and last i talked with him he was happy with them. I think it may even be cobrajet ltx dx. I'm sure he will chime in if it is him.

Ok here’s the deal.... in video #4 that’s a setup 100% for mountain riding, that setup on the trails would totally $uck for handling in the trails period especially with studs. Mountain guys run a much softer setting on the Center spring in order to climb up onto the softer snow. Even track weight distribution is NOT what you want with most trail sleds, they will push badly. You want about 75% weight on the Center shock give or take for conditions. I don’t use scales or any of that rich kid stuff, sled handling and feel is what really matters. Trail conditions change and as you notice what the sled is doing make adjustments. Scales make me feel fat anyways! Lol
I figured that some of the information might help Chuckpp understand how the suspension works, points of contact vs weight distribution and rider position. Sometimes understanding how something works can help a person create their own personalized setup based on their knowledge and understanding of the system.

Set FTS preload to an 1/8 inch. Set FSS to 1/8 preload,? FTS FSS ?

Front track shock=FTS
front ski shocks=FSS

Curve’s with semi aggressive snow trackers, Bergstrom shim under rear ski rubber work Amazing.
Thanks for all your help Travis!!!
