Not if you get Snowtrackers. The issue will be solved, 100%
Agreed, no darting at all with Tracker's.
disagree absolutly love my snow trackers can let go of the bars a 100 mph and she stays straight but follow someone with them dog gone new fangled skis yamaha came out with the dual keel and she darts a bit for some reason those make huge snow prints and you will get somw side to side with snow trackers otherwise i agree.

I have the trackers as well. They work very good with little to no dart in most all conditions. Sometimes I think they grab too much in hard pack trail conditions though and add to the sleds tippiness in corners. I little bit of push would be better there.

X2 on tuners, stay 100%yamaha.... no cat inbreeding.... just saying! ;)!

tuner skis

installed a set of tuner skis with 6 inch inside 4 inch outside rode in northern wisconsin this past weekend these skis totally changed the handling of this attak no darting and corners on rails thanks for all the input :4STroke:

I must be the only one that cant get the tuners to work. I ordered a set of trackers Sunday. Should be here in a day or so. Gonna keep the tuners for now.

Keep in mind with certain dual runner carbides, the space between the two wear bars will pack full of snow and ice, and it will kill your mileage!!
I used to have a set on my Apex, and the most I could ever get was around 10mpg (no boost either).
Installed Bergstroms and never looked back. They haven't worn hardly at all in 4 years, hold better in turns, and worth every penny!
You can also help darting by turning the ski rubber around so it forces the nose of the ski up more as well. This trick is almost standard fare with the Nytro's, but I did it on my Apex too, with good results.
When shimming or flipping rubbers, check by putting the sled on a flat concrete surface and look at the carbides. You'll want to see at least 1/8" of space at the front of the carbide for it to do much good on a stock runner. I have 8" carbides and set my sled up for the flat, twisty groomed stuff, so I'm close to 1/4" nose up with mine, but I don't know if it needs to be.

thanks for all the replys nateoo7 i see you are from iowa city im just an hour away dauhgter leaves one hour north west thanks to all happy riding stay safe

Nate, That what is great about the tuner ski, the dual carbides are wide apart so you don't get this Ice build up like the other dual runners { woodys). That's a neat trick with rubbers as I heard that before but never tried. :sled1: :sled1:
