Supposedly this works...But for 50 bucks, that's a bit steep.
Just go to your local hardware store, pick up piping, cut it, and voila! Much cheaper!

I'd bet it's the same guy. The sellers location is Manitoba, & the guy who posted the idea here is from Manitoba.
A good idea yes, $50...... no. Plain 'ol 1/8" steel on cement or blacktop roadside trails or crossings= FAST WEAR!! But if he can sell 'em, good for him. Any way a guy can make a buck these days is worth it.

apexfx said:-stock skies
-stock wearbar
-the pipe sits even with the wearbar
-just 2 inch black pipe, thickwall,IE gas pipe
-the most they will wear down is to the wearbar,as shown in pic
-roads,RR tracks,trailers,etc,no problem
-over 700 miles on mine, with little snow where, still good
-best thing, once you make one, takes only 5 mins to change
-cost me 4 dallars pipe, and 30 mins to make them
-dont believe me,try them your self
And now he want $50!!!!! ok $49.99 but still, come on that's over $90.00 an hour to make.
I would be willing at maybe $20-25 a set but not at $50, sorry

Before you guys get too carried away it should be noted that the material listed on the ones for sale is Hardox and not just plain 'ol 1/8" steel as described in one of the posts.
Here's one of many links that describe Hardox http://www.aemach.com/hardox/hardox_main.htm
This is by no means an endorsement of the product, just a little clarification.

Just slap on some doolies and your darting is gone. Also, the doolies re-arch the stock ski, which gives you back your easy steering. No shimming, no ski replacement required, no B.S.

Guys, these plates do what they say. I am a big a critic of things that don't work on this site as can be had, I never recomend things that I have not tried myself and found to work. These work. Yes you can make them yourself and I have done just that. You will spend an hour or so at a minumum to make a couple that wont be as strong as this material as well as giving the designer something for his idea. You can buy a CD for about 20 cents, does that make that Stevey Ray Vaughn CD worth 20 cents?
