So I installed kit worked great in garage. Took her up north and lights started sputtering on and off. Checked some of the wiring got them to fire. Then quit working again. Anyone have wiring harness issues with these. I did switch relays back and forth. No change. Could I have 2 bad ballast.

Yes. I would guess bad ballasts or maybe bad ground.

make sure the connectors for power and ground are good again and didnt break, ive had these break away from the wires at the mounts and they look good but dont work. other than that i would say they bad ballasts or relay, they will probably send you a whole new kit.

I had a relay harness go bad but it only affected the hi/lo switch. I never use hi because there is very little difference with the new bulb shield. I am debating on just installing low beam kits from now on.

Thanks guys. Thinking it was a bad connection somewhere. Also forgot to mention that I could see lights move when hittig high/low switch. Not sure if that would be a sign of a certain failure.

The lights actually get pulled back into the rear light housing to give you high beam. Grizz knows more about them and what really happens when the hi/lo switch is pushed. But they do move in and out.

My money is on a bad ground. recheck your grounds, if they are bolted to painted surfaces they need to be moved to an unpainted surface. cant remember where i put mine on my old sled been a few years since i did them.

Thanks everyone. Just tore it apart. Seemed to be a bad ground.
