I know we'll have snow for the trip (fingers are crossed) but our goal (Jr. and me) is to ride up from northern Wisconsin.
Have you ever had to cancel this ride, or had to limit where you rode?

i think 3 year's ago it was canceled. no snow anywhere until late january. some of the trails that run through swamps are pretty bad with water. hopefully we can get some cold weather to freeze these area's up before the snow comes. it's only 3 week's away so yes keep your finger's crossed

Yep, 3 years ago it was cancelled. I flew over for the ride and whilst I was in the airplane, it rained hard in the UP and their 20 inches of snow was gone in one day. It was awful. However, the following year was perfect I rode almost 1,000 miles in 5 days before xMas.

Thanks guys! It's been YEARS since I rode from Houghton out to the tip of the Kee. Mark (my son) really wants to see Lk. Superior from there....and I want to see it again too!
According to John Dee, the LES machine is supposed to be starting up, and we all know it doesn't take very long for them to get 3 feet of LES snow. Wrong kind of snow for a base but heck I'll take it.
We need for it to stay cold too!!!!

Gerbie, I am going to try to make it up there. Things are slow here and thought I would be off the whole month of December, but they got rid of a guy that was slowing the system down and now I am working on a machine and Quality Manager the rest of the time.
All I can say bud is hope you can find something fast. Know it is going to be hard, but some things you just can't avoid. Keep your head up dude!

I booked for the 3 rides that were listed at the end of Nov., and am really looking forward to them.
Is anyone staying longer then sunday? I have the week off and would like to come up but no one to ride with after the weekend.
i'll be riding all day on sun and all day on mon.
