Its more less an article about the intent of the Nytro Market in 08. Basically it was designed for gap-style riders who ride power lines or rough ditches... basically it was never intended for trail riders..... its a very good article.
also check out page 56 about Hondos record and the mention of Totallyamaha

I read it.
The article shows Yamaha is listening to the market and responding with engineering solutions to improve their sleds. I hope they don't take all the edginess out of the Nytro's handling, but it's good to see they're continuing to develop the package.
That should be good for a free hat or something, don't ya think?

i read the article and yeah its good but.... i understand that the 2009s are supposed to be better and i for one will prolly pitch my 2008 for something else but you would think they would try to come up with something to make the 2008 handle better.

Wasn't it Yamaha's own marketing team that called it a "rough trail" sled. I still have my CD someplace......ah bunny. "never intended for trail riders" ...... seems like they aimed for less than 5% of the sled market. Wonder why they made and sold so many....? hmm
should be interesting reading...

If you look at sleds from the past 10 years, really none of them were designed for trail riders.
The Pro-X, the Rev, the Firecat; they were all ditchbanger/snocross wanna be sleds.

How about the APEX & the AC "F" chassis ? Those are certainly "TRAIL SLEDS"

Mmmm, maybe. You could argue that the Apex is more of a snocross style sled because of the rider-foreward design.

Trust me, I true sno x sled is just about unridable on the trail and anything but fun for more than 5 minutes. It's the same old marketing BS ....... when you say "style" perhaps your talking about appearance....?

Speaking of which, did anyone see a I.Q. Pro or RR, whatever Polaris race sled is on the trail last year. I rode 4000 miles, I and can't remember seeing one. It looks like it would be a fun sled to beat on, but not a fun sled to trail ride on. I don't know that I would put the Nytro in the same catagory, maybe just the front shock valving.
