Did I make a mistake with an '08 RTX

Went back to dealership for a better look at the Nytro and other models. After reading posts here on wind protection, talked to some Service and Parts techs about our local riding conditions involving some river running, trail and the rather cool temps of -30 to -40 which last for couple months. So going now with the '09 Apex LTX GT.
The windshield deflectors and high shield I was going to put on the Nytro others have tried but don't provide protection like the Apex.
