Same thing happened to my old sled... I caught it right away though and didn't even loose too much antifreeze. Bought a new radiator off a 2009 with beefer tabs.

This is a problem on these sleds for sure , I noticed mine just in time or it would have also worn a hole throught the cooler. I didn't want to replace a bad part with another bad part so I made 2 aluminium straps 1 inch wide and used the original bolt holes to attach them, I know there are 3 tabs on the cooler but there are 4 threaded holes on the body which made this a pretty easy job. I put a strip of foam tape on the parts the would be touching the cooler and then put the straps on. This will never be an issue again this way and after 2000kms since the repair all works fine with zero cooling issues.

Will a 2009 rad fit with the different stronger tabs on my 2007 ?

Thanks to you, I did some preventive work on my radiator. I put a metal strip on top of existing one. Drilled hole for existing bolt, and bent the end of my strip so it had 1/2" hanging over the radiator to restrain it. Then I added a shot of goop, between the round tube and radiator, next to the new strip.
