Did Yama decide on a program for 05 RX-1 rear mono susp?

I had to put an Expert X In my 03 to make it ride right. I never complained once about that. Plus anyone that complians about the Zert issue had teh ability to tell there dealer they refused to take the sled without the fittings.

I'm pretty sure the 07 stuff will be better then the 06 stuff. I fyou want to bitch at Yamaha go buy a Cat. then you can have 27 recalls on your sled. Pull your skids add the zerts Check yuoui welds and if there is an issue take the skid in. If there is indeed a true issue with the Skid Yamaha will be forced to address it.

jtssrx I don't think any of us want to bitch at Yamaha maybe give them a little advise on how to treat customers and communicate better when we ask legitimate questions etc . Listening to people like us actually benefits them as much as it does us why not share a little knowledge. No the skid ain't perfect but what is in it's first year like anything it will take time to work the bugs out our feedback is what they will use to improve on the skid if we kept our mouths shut do you really believe things would change? Your a smart guy that sounds like a good business man when your customers have problems do you ignore them or do you listen to what they have to say and try to make your product meet there needs? In this day and age customer support and service is a major factor in gaining market share If there are truly no real issues why not tell us that and give us some advise on what we can do to fix things ourselves. It's this silent treatment that pisses everybody off in my opinion even more so than not paying to fix the issues.

Hey, all in good fun, but you did extend the 121 to 136 and change the spring. I assume you changed to a 136" track. I'd be interested in seeing how your extension compares to the new 06' 136" mono-shock and if there were mods to the 121" monoshock to accomidate the added weight and stresses of the 136"?

I know...

Yes, I went to a 136" track. I don't think it will compare, I can't adjust my Ohlins on-the-fly. But it does ride allot better now, I just wish it was more durable - and it will be once I fab a bunch of stuff to reinforce it. I think I'm going to post the question on where I could get bronze bushings for my skid though? One other thing:

There are actually positives to recalls, PROBLEMS GET TAKEN CARE-OF AT THE MANUFACTURER'S EXPENSE, NOT THE CUSTOMER'S. At least AC made it right for their customers. I'd gladly drag my sled back to the dealer if I knew it would take care of a constant problem too.

There are actually positives to my RX-1 too...when it's not broken.
