DIY EXHAUST

Hey guys. Just wondering if any of you out their have ever made your own exhaust. say out of a performance muffler of some sort??
I have a hair brained idea to try this. I found a performance turbo muffler at autozone 2in in and out. Its smaller than stock one by alot.$ 24.00. piece of 2in pipe thats 45degree $5.00. some exhaust wrap and some fabrication on my end and I think i could have a way cheaper alternative. anyone try this?? my biggest concern is how loud it maybe. I mainly just want to get to chain adj better. just think spending 300 bucks to do that his silly.

I made my own from magnaflow ss muffler, same one as sandale performance, nice deep tone, It's for sale too as I put turbo on a few years back.

Thanks for reply. I almost tried this a few years back with a performance muffler for rice burner. But it was straight threw so figured it be loud. Im gonna fab it up today. So we shall see. This is what happens when theres no snow and i have no fabrication work at my shop. Lol!!

Did you have any trouble with heat from the magnaflow?? Thats my only concern. So was gonna wrap in heat tape.
