Does a 12MM swaybar measure 12MM?

I purchased a 12mm swaybar from a RX1. When I measure it it only mearsures 11mm o.d. in the center of the bar. I imagine that this is only a stock bar, right? The one I took out of my sled measures the same, I bought the sled used and the previous owner did not mention any swaybar upgrade. So either I already had the updated bar or I was sent the wrong bar. Just looking for some confermation on this matter.

thats funny, i just bought two 11 millimeter sway bars from someone on her and they both were sold to me as 12mm, I just gave up. short answer, no, a 12mm measures 12mm.

11 is the upgrade for a rs, and first year rx1, later years come with 11 stock.

look on the bright side, you only bought 1.

A 12mm sway bar should measure 12mm in the middle. To verify I just checked 2 brand new 12mm sway bars that I purchased from Pioneer and they measure 12mm with a calipers.

The problem is that everybody who upgrades their swaybar goes to 12 or 13 mm, and every upgraded bar is another 11mm bar that someone is going to want to peddle off, so you want to be real careful about where you're buying your upgrade from. Only reason why anyone would ever take off an upgrade bar is if the rest of the machine gets wrecked and they want to part it out.

I bought mine from someone that was parting their's out. They said they were sold this bar thinking it was a 12MM. My loss i guess. Thanks everyone for comfirming my thoughts.
